Wright & Co Dumpster Rental started the way a lot of hauling companies in this city start — with one truck, a handful of roll-off boxes, and a simple bet that Chicago homeowners and contractors were tired of dealing with national call centers that couldn’t tell a bungalow-belt alley from a suburban cul-de-sac. We picked up our first loads out of the Austin neighborhood on the West Side and worked outward from there, one job at a time.

We’re not a franchise and we’re not a lead-generation front for someone else’s trucks. When you call our number, you get someone who actually works in this business, who can tell you whether your project needs a 10 yard or a 20 yard, and who knows off the top of their head whether your block is going to need a CDOT permit or not. That’s the whole idea — a dumpster company run by people who are actually from here.

As the fleet grew and we added more sizes and more trucks, the day-to-day approach didn’t change. We still quote jobs in plain language, we still show up in the window we promise, and we still treat a homeowner clearing out a garage the same way we treat a contractor running a five-dumpster demolition job. Bigger fleet, same habits.

Today Wright & Co Dumpster Rental serves Chicago’s West Side community areas — Galewood, Belmont Cragin, Hermosa, Humboldt Park, East Garfield Park, West Garfield Park, and North Lawndale — along with the nearby suburbs of Oak Park, River Forest, Elmwood Park, Forest Park, and Berwyn. We’ve been doing it since 2018, and we’re still a phone call, not a call center.

How We Work

Booking is meant to be simple. You call, tell us what you’re working on and where the truck needs to go, and we tell you which size fits the job and when we can get it there — often the same day if you call in the morning. We ask about your surface (driveway, alley, street) up front because that decision affects everything from placement to whether a City of Chicago permit needs to be pulled before the box shows up.

When the dumpster arrives, our driver sets it where it does the least damage to your property and the most good for your project — boards under the rails when they’re needed, a walkthrough of what can and can’t go in the box, and a clear pickup date. No surprise fees buried in fine print, no upsell pitch when you’re standing in your driveway trying to finish a cleanout.

Our Equipment & Fleet

We run roll-off trucks and a range of 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard containers built for Chicago conditions — narrow alleys, tight two-flat driveways, and streets that see real winter weather. Our boxes are kept in working condition and sized correctly for the neighborhoods we serve, where a lot of lots are alley-loaded rather than street-fronted, and where a truck sometimes has less room to maneuver than it would in a subdivision. Keeping the fleet in good shape and matched to real Chicago lot conditions is part of how we keep drop times predictable.
